A former Air Cadet herself, Amanda became a Civilian Instructor in 2002 and subsequently commissioned in 2007.
Amanda has been a Squadron Training Officer, Squadron Commander, No 3 Welsh Wing Training Officer and Deputy Commander of No 3 Welsh Wing.
Amanda graduated with a BA in Community Studies (Youth and Community Work) and is passionate about working with young people in developing them to reach their full potential. Amanda believes that commitment to continued professional development is a way of doing this and recently completed training in the Stonewall Cymru – Train the Trainer programme: Tackling homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying (2019) and Mentoring Skills Level 2 (2019).
Amanda manages a charity promoting the Welsh Language in Bridgend County Borough. Amanda enjoys the challenge of managing people and achieved the CMI Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership in 2012.
